“How can I best prep my file for submission?”

This is one of the most common questions we get from our clients. The answer is that it can be surprisingly simple to ensure the files you provide produce a high quality print.

First, we can accept all file types including eps, jpg, png, tiff, ai, psd, indd, pdf. Secondly, your image must be at least 150 DPI at the final output size. Ideally it’s 300 DPI when possible. You don’t want a pixelated image, so when you’re creating items like posters and smaller banners that will be viewed at a closer distance 300 DPI will create the best quality.

Don’t forget the bleed! All files with graphics or designs going to the edge should be built with .25” of bleed on all edges when possible vs. the standard .125” of bleed per edge.

Finally, Large Print works in CMYK colors, so all your uploaded files should be in CMYK including text, graphics, and photography. If you’re using Pantone colors instead, don’t fret! We can match colors. Just let us know the number you used. For large solid sections of black, consider using Rich Black as it’ll produce a striking and bold area.

Following these guidelines will ensure the idea in your head is what comes out in the finished product. We want to make sure the end result is something you’re satisfied with.
